9/10/10-Reading Responce

The connections I can make to my book (Storm thief by Chris Wooding) are that in most countries around the world are in a communist state. Like in the book, on pieces of land like Cuba the people are not allowed to leave their country and in the book they live on a piece of land that they cannot sail out to far. In some countries people live in fear of their government and in the book the people life in fear of the "Protectorate" The party that rules over them. Also in some countries the people will have an uprising and fight for their rights, While in the book the people are having an uprising and secretly trying to get out of the island. Finally the island has ghettos and in America their are ghettos.
